Treatment Approach
I create a warm, supportive space where you’ll feel heard and understood. My goal is to help you build insight, self-awareness, and meaningful connections so you can navigate life’s challenges and make lasting changes. Whether you’re dealing with anxiety, depression, relationship struggles, self-esteem issues, or a life transition, I’m here to support you in creating a life that feels authentic and aligned with your values.
With a mix of humor, honesty, and compassion, I’ll help you explore how your emotions, patterns, and relationships shape your experience. Together, we’ll uncover how past events and cultural influences affect your thoughts and responses today. My approach focuses on building on your strengths, offering practical tools for change, and making it easier to dive into tough topics. Through it all, I’ll be by your side as you create a more fulfilling life.

Theoretical Approach
Multicultural understanding is at the core of my work. I believe that your identity, cultural background, and lived experiences play a huge role in how you relate to yourself, others, and the challenges you face. I honor these complexities by creating a therapeutic space that reflects your values and personal story.
My approach is trauma-informed and integrative, blending psychodynamic, relational, and experiential techniques with evidence-based practices like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). This holistic approach helps you tap into your strengths, build resilience, and gain insight, empowering you to make meaningful changes and create a life that feels connected and purposeful.
The Therapeutic Relationship
“Being able to feel safe with other people is probably the single most important aspect of mental health; safe connections are fundamental to meaningful and satisfying lives.” - Bessell van der Kolk, MD
At the heart of my work is a belief in the transformative power of the therapeutic relationship. I know that feeling safe and understood in therapy is key to making real progress and healing. My goal is to create an authentic connection with each client, providing a solid foundation for our work together. I bring warmth, humor, and a willingness to challenge when needed, creating a supportive space where you can explore your inner world. At the same time, I’ll gently encourage you to step outside your comfort zone, allowing for both safety and growth throughout the therapeutic process.
Education, Training, and Credentials
I received my Bachelor’s degree in English from Syracuse University and my Master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling from Fordham University. In addition to private practice, I also work in college counseling, where I provide integrative psychodynamic therapy to college students navigating a range of challenges—trauma, anxiety, depression, adjustment issues, and relationship struggles. I also lead psychoeducational workshops, consult with parents, faculty, and staff, provide crisis intervention and triage support, and facilitate group supervision for clinicians-in-training. These experiences have shaped my approach, which is grounded in empathy, insight, and collaboration.
