Starting therapy is a personal decision, and there are plenty of reasons it can be helpful. If you’re feeling sad, anxious, or overwhelmed, having trouble with relationships, or going through big life changes, therapy can offer support and guidance. It’s also a great option if you want to better understand yourself, build coping skills, or work through things that have been holding you back.
Therapy works best when you feel ready to engage with your thoughts and feelings. A consultation call can help you explore whether therapy aligns with your needs and goals, giving you a safe space to talk through your concerns and expectations.

The length of therapy really depends on what you need, your goals, and what feels right for you. Some people find short-term therapy (about 8-12 sessions) helpful for specific issues or life changes, while others prefer longer-term work to dive into deeper patterns, relationships, or long-standing challenges. Our work together will be collaborative, and we’ll regularly check in to make sure we’re staying on track with your goals.
Therapy isn’t about quick fixes—it’s a journey of growth, insight, and change that happens over time. Whether you’re looking for short-term support or a longer process, my goal is to help you develop tools and insights that continue to serve you beyond our sessions. You get to decide how deep you want to go, and together we’ll create a plan that fits your needs and pace.

During our consultation call, we’ll go over my fees to make sure everything is clear from the start. I’m in-network with Aetna, Carelon Behavioral Health, Anthem EAP - Bank of America, Quest Behavioral Health, and Cigna. If your plan offers out-of-network benefits, you may be eligible for partial reimbursement. Payment is due at the time of service, and I can provide a superbill (a detailed receipt) for you to submit to your insurance company for reimbursement. Many clients find this process helpful, and I’m happy to assist with any questions you may have about submitting claims.

Between sessions, I keep communication focused on scheduling. If you need to reschedule or discuss logistics, feel free to reach out by email or phone. However, if you’re experiencing an emergency, it’s important to get immediate help by calling 911 or going to the nearest hospital. Your safety and well-being are my top priorities, and there are resources available to support you during those critical times.

If you need to cancel or reschedule an appointment, please let me know at least 24 hours in advance to avoid a fee. If you cancel within 24 hours, you’ll be responsible for the full session fee. This policy helps me accommodate other clients who may need support. If you have any questions about this policy or want to discuss a specific situation, feel free to reach out!

Feeling comfortable and connected with your therapist is key to effective therapy. If at any point you feel like we’re not quite connecting, I encourage you to let me know. We can talk through any concerns you have during a session, and if it seems like we’re not the best fit, I’m happy to help you explore other options or refer you to someone who might be a better match. Your comfort and progress are my top priorities.
